Preshave

Good preparation is half the job!

With preshave we mean all the preparations before the actual shaving. The aim of preshave is to prepare the beard hair for shaving and to protect the skin from the razor-sharp razor blade.
After the preparatory face cleansing with warm water and a face soap, a preshave product is applied: shaving soap, shaving cream, shaving foam or shaving oil.
Shaving soap, applied with a shaving brush, stimulates the skin and makes the beard hair soft.
A shaving cream protects, nourishes and moisturizes the skin while shaving and is available in a convenient tube or jar. Shaving cream is also preferably applied with a shaving brush. The massaging of shaving soap or shaving cream with a shaving brush ensures that the hairs stand upright. This way the beard hair gets shaved quickly and deep. The result is a smooth and stubble-free skin.
Shaving foam in a spray can is easy to use and gives foam faster than the shaving brush. Nevertheless, it gives a good and smooth result.
Shaving oil softens, nourishes and cleanses the skin. The thin protective film of oil lets the razor glide smoothly over the skin. You will get an optimal result when you use the shaving oil in combination with shaving soap or shaving cream.
